Spotlight Artist: Kamila CK

Kamila CK goes big

As artists, we live for those moments where our creativity peaks and we have a breakthrough in our style or process.

When we are feeling blocked, it can be hard to imagine that feeling.

Before Kamila CK joined the Become Internationally Known program, she had found a consistent style she liked in the studio but wanted to challenge herself to take her work to the next level.

She learned to listen more deeply to her intuition and brought her movement and dance practices into her painting process.

She found her voice and developed a totally new way of working in her recent series, Enso- Movement Desires, based on the classical principles of zen with movement art.

“I have become a real artist that is producing work every week, spending time in my amazing studio and working on art that is exciting and authentic to me, which I can produce easily and effortlessly.” - Kamila CK

What has Kamila CK been up to since our last post?

Kamila CK has continued to grow more confident in her ability to expand her practice and collaborate with others…  And is excited that her work is now being shown internationally!

In “Odyssey of the Circle,” her exciting new collaboration in France, she worked with an established cello musician and digital projection artist to create a performance where she can paint live while performing acrobatics.

She has started her own art design house in Lincoln (UK), where she will actualize a long-held dream bringing her art and hospitality backgrounds together in overnight interactive solo exhibitions.
